Hola a Todos. Estoy muy Feliz, por fin pude comprar mis flechas nuevas, unas Carbon Xpress Nano Pro Xtreme, y estoy muy contento porque me han funcionado muy bien.

• Pin-nock Beiter Asimétrico grande (Pin 2)

Ya que las compré casi nuevas ya estaban armadas con las plumas Eli-vane. Decidí probarlas, ya que también tenía curiosidad al respecto de las plumas. Sin cambiar nada en el arco desde mis ACE 470 comencé a tirar a 70m. Después de las primeras 2 flechas compensé la desviación y comencé a hacer grupo, me sorprendió lo bien agruparon. Rondas promedio de 53pts con un pico de 57pts, y no menos de  52pts.

Ahora sólo he cambiado la presión del botón, ya que la flecha respondió muy bien a mi ajuste previo del punto del talón, alineación y Brace Height. Me encuentro muy satisfecho con el desempeño que me reportan las flechas, ya que a menos que yo tenga un error grave, las flechas agrupan casi por naturaleza.

Después les cambié plumas a la mitad, a Spin Wing 1 ¾’’, y me dispuse a probar ambas plumas al mismo tiempo. Actualmente estoy entrenando en las madrugadas, con luz de una linterna que me alumbra la paca, por lo que no veo donde pegan, ni el vuelo, y con cierta dificultad para apuntar. Estos factores ayudaran para hacer un estudio estadístico a ciegas, sin sesgo por querer que alguna pluma resulte mejor.

El resultado es quizá algo decepcionante. Ambos juegos pegan a la misma altura, con la misma deriva y en un mismo grupo. La única diferencia es que las de Spin-Wing reportan un grupo ligeramente más cerrado, pero no lo considero determinante. Ambas plumas me funcionan igual. La mayor diferencia para mí es la dificultad de instalación, me parecen más fáciles de instalar las Spin-Wing, en especial con las Beiter Wing-Holder que ya tenía. Esa es para mí la única diferencia entre ambas plumas.

Si tienen oportunidad de adquirir estas flechas son una excelente opción, ligeramente más económica que la X10, mismo desempeño y aparentemente un poco más de vida útil. Escribiré más al respecto.

As these were almost new arrows, they were already assembled with Eli-vane. I decided to try them out as I was courius too about how they work. Without changing anything from my ACE 470 I shot at 70m. After 2 arrows I compensated the deviation and started to group them. And how well they did. Average ends of 53pts, with a spike of 57pts and no less than 52pts.

Now I’ve just changed the Plunger pressure, as the arrow responded well to current alignment, nocking-point and Brace Height. I found myself quite satisfied with the performance reported by the arrows, because unless I have a big mistake, they group almost naturally.

Afterwards I changed halve a dozen arrows’ vanes to Spin Wings 1 ¾’’ in order to try both vane types simultaneously. Now that I’m working full-time I can only train very early in the mornings, 6-7 am, very little light from a flashlight, I can´t see where the arrows hit, nor where they fly towards to and I even have some difficulty aiming. All these factors together will serve well for a blind statistical test, without unconscious doing better for any type of vane.

The result is rather disappointing. Both sets land at the same height, same lateral deviation and make a single group. The only noticeable difference is that the Spin Wings appear to group a little tighter, but not very decisive. The greatest difference is in the installation process, being the easiest the Spin Wing, especially with my Beiter Wing Holder. That is for me the only difference between both types of vanes.

If you have the opportunity to buy this arrows they are quite a great option, slightly cheaper than X10, same performance and apparently a longer life-time. I’ll write more on this topic.
