Hola a todos, estoy muy contento con mi maneral nuevo, está trabajando muy bien.

El sábado pasado recibí mi W&W INNO AXT, el cual es el hermano del Inno CXT pero de Aluminio.

Lo primero sentí la diferencia de peso, de 1280 a 1330gr. El balance por sí solo es hacia la parte de arriba, esto puede requerir un poco más de peso en el estabilizador central, pero no es algo importante.

El grip también es un poco diferente al de mi maneral anterior. En el Xpert el grip tiene una superficie de contacto redonda con la parte de la palma. El nuevo es más plano sin llegar al punto del Hoyt Athlete. Esto propicia una mayor estabilidad. Es casi como si se bloqueara el movimiento en el momento que llegas al anclaje. También la posición de la mano es ligeramente más profunda en la garganta del grip.

Al momento de jalar la cuerda el conjunto del balance, la estabilidad del grip y la geometría del arco dan la sensación de menor libraje, también el vuelo y la posición del grupo reportaron una flecha dura. Así que me dispuse a incrementar la potencia del arco hasta obtener un vuelo más uniforme y recuperar altura de mira. Cuando logré ese punto la sensación del libraje no cambió mucho, aunque se incrementó en 2lb la fuerza del arco (44lb total).

Necesito hacer una cuerda nueva, ya que la tengo actualmente queda un poco corta para este arco. También cambia la altura de la repisa con respecto al grip, ahora es más corta. Esto provocó que mi nocking point quedara un poco debajo de lo normal. Espero que con la nueva cuerda el ajuste me permita recuperar altura.

Sin hacer mayores ajustes el arco está agrupando muy bien a 70mt. El sonido es muy limpio y corto, característico de los Inno y su rigidéz. La reacción del arco es muy estable y precisa. Le sientan muy bien las ramas Winex, espero poder probar unas Inno o Wiawis. Estoy seguro que en unas semanas estará listo para romper mis records, esperemos que también alguno mundial.

Hello everyone, I’m very happy with my new riser, it’s developing quite well.

Last Saturday I received my new W&W Inno AXT, which is brother to the CXT but made from Aluminum.

First I noticed the weight difference from 1280 to 1330gr. Balance is towards the top of the riser, this might require an additional weight on the central or top stabilizer, but nothing important.

The grip is somewhat different from my previous riser. In the Xpert the grip the pressure surface is round; this is the surface in contact with the palm of the hand. The new grip is flatter on this section, which gives the bow better stability. Almost as if it blocked the hand movement just as one reaches the anchoring point. But it doesn’t reach the Hoyt Athlete grip flatness. Also the hand position is a bit deeper in the grip throat.

At the moment of pulling the string back all the characteristics of balance, grip stability and geometry give the sensation of less poundage. Also the arrow flight and grouping  reported for a stiff arrow. So I proceeded to increase poundage until I had good arrow flight and regain some speed. After this the poundage feeling wasn’t so different though a 2lb increase was made (total 44lb).

I need to make a new string as my current one is a bit short to reach the recommended Brace height. Also the distance from the grip throat to the arrow rest is shorter. This made my current knocking point to be lower than normal. I expect that with the new string the further adjustments gain me even more down-range.

Without any more adjustments the bow is grouping quite well at 70m. sound is clean and short, characteristic of the Inno and their rigidity. Bow’s reaction is very steady and precise. It takes well the Winex limbs, I intend to test it with some Inno or Wiawis limbs as soon as possible. I’m sure that in some weeks it will be ready to break my Personal Bests, may be some WR too.
